Het Vlaams Doping Tribunaal heeft Atelaw Bekele vrijgesproken. De Europees veldloopkampioen van 2011 riskeerde schorsing van twee jaar.
Volgens de procureur zou Bekele op stage in Ethiopië een dopingcontrole bewust hebben ontlopen, maar het Tribunaal volgt die stelling niet.
