Op het WK rugby in Nieuw-Zeeland heeft Australië de Verenigde Staten met ruime cijfers verslagen. De wedstrijd eindigde met een duidelijke 67-5-overwinning voor de Australiërs.
Het was wel niet één en al feestvreugde voor de Australiërs. Een van hun spelers, Anthony Faingaa, ging tijdens de wedstrijd knock-out en moest afgevoerd worden. Het is nog niet duidelijk hoe erg de lichamelijke schade is.
