Rubens Barrichello blijft ook in 2011 actief in de Formule 1. De Braziliaanse veteraan start dan aan zijn negentiende seizoen.
Barrichello heeft naar eigen zeggen een mondelinge overeenkomst met zijn huidige werkgever Williams voor nog een jaar.
De Braziliaan werkte deze maand in België zijn driehonderdste Grand Prix af.
Het is nog niet duidelijk of de Duitser Nico Hülkenberg de tweede piloot van Williams zal blijven.
