De Duitse international Philipp Lahm heeft zijn contract bij Bayern München met vier jaar verlengd. Dat wil zeggen dat de verdediger mogelijk tot 2016 in de Allianz Arena zal blijven.
Eerder brak de Duitse recordkampioen ook al de contracten van Franck Ribéry en Thomas Müller open.
"Bayern is met iets groots bezig. De komende jaren zullen we ook internationaal voluit voor de prijzen meespelen", aldus Lahm.
De verdediger wordt volgende week 27. Sinds 2003 is hij prof in Beieren. In de eerste twee seizoenen werd hij wel uitgeleend aan Stuttgart.
