Ruben Bemelmans (ATP 197) is er zondag niet in geslaagd zijn tweede titel in het Challengercircuit te behalen. In de finale van het toernooi in Eckental verloor de Limburger met 3-6, 6-2 en 6-3 van de Nederlander Igor Sijsling (ATP 151).
De 22-jarige Bemelmans won in 2009 het Challengertoernooi in het Duitse Wolfsburg, een jaar eerder verloor hij de finale in Aken.
