"Ik ben nu van plan om eind maart naar Florida te gaan om het Indycar-team van de Belg Eric Bachelart te bezoeken", vertelt hij aan de kranten van Sud Presse. "Er is nog helemaal niets beslist, maar het zou kunnen dat ik de Indy 500 rijd."
Eric Bachelart, chef bij Conquest Racing, ziet een samenwerking wel zitten. "Het idee om een Belg in onze renstal te hebben spreekt me wel aan. Het lijkt een buitenkans. Ik ken Bertrand niet, maar zijn resultaten hebben me wel al overtuigd."
Baguette mocht zich in 2009 laureaat in de Formule Renault 3.5 noemen.
