Betty Heidler heeft op een internationale atletiekmeeting in het Duitse Halle voor een nieuw wereldrecord hamerslingeren gezorgd.
De 27-jarige Duitse liet bij poging drie een worp van 79m42 noteren.
Het oude record stond sinds juni 2010 op naam van de Poolse Anita
Wlodarczyk. Die wierp destijds in het Poolse Bydgoszcz de hamer 78m30 ver.
