Kevin Borlée heeft brons behaald op de 400m op het WK atletiek in Daegu. Zijn broer Jonathan werd vijfde in de finale. Het goud ging naar Kirani James.
Het is nog maar de derde keer dat een Belg een medaille haalt sinds het eerste WK in 1983. William Van Dijck (3.000m steeple, 1987, Rome) en Mohammed Mourhit (5.000m, 1999, Sevilla) liepen ook naar brons.
