Yanina Wickmayer (WTA-28) is er dinsdag niet in geslaagd zich voor de kwartfinales van het WTA-toernooi van Dallas te plaatsen. In de tweede ronde bleek de Australische Casey Dellacqua (WTA-106) te sterk voor de 22-jarige Vlaams-Brabantse. Het werd 6-4 en 6-3 in 1 uur en 38 minuten.
Wickmayer was vierde reekshoofd op het hardcourt in Texas.
