Kristof Sas is niet langer meer aan de slag als ploegarts bij vicekampioen Club Brugge. "We hebben inderdaad beslist de samenwerking met Kristof Sas stop te zetten", bevestigde kersvers Club Brugge-woordvoerder Kirsten Willem donderdag.
"Onze tweede dokter Karel Watteyne schuift zo een plaats op in de rangorde en wordt onze hoofdarts. Daarnaast blijft hij ook werkzaam in het AZ in Brugge."
Sas streek in oktober 2011 neer in het Jan Breydelstadion nadat Blauw-zwart hem bij aartsrivaal Anderlecht weghaalde. Maar hij lag al geruime tijd onder vuur bij Club, wegens de zware blessurelast in het seizoensbegin.
