De Ier Daniel Martin (Garmin) heeft Luik-Bastenaken-Luik gewonnen. Hij liet op de slotklim in Ans de Spanjaard Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) achter zich. Alejandro Valverde eindigde op de derde plaats. Wereldkampioen Philippe Gilbert werd zevende. Martin is na Sean Kelly in 1984 de tweede Ier die La Doyenne weet te winnen.
