Steve Darcis (ATP-107) gaat niet naar Wimbledon. Hij moest dinsdag in de tweede kwalificatieronde opgeven in de tweede set. Wat er aan de hand is, is nog niet bekend.
Darcis nam het op tegen de Zwitser Marco Chiudinelli (ATP-211). Het stond toen 6-3 en 3-0 in het voordeel van de Zwitser.
Maandag was de 27-jarige Luikenaar in de eerste ronde nog te sterk voor de Serviër Ilija Bozoljac (ATP-197).
Voor een plaats op de hoofdtabel moest Darcis drie kwalificatierondes doorworstelen.
