David Goffin (ATP-221) heeft zich vrijdag voor de derde en laatste kwalificatieronde van het US Open geplaatst. Dat deed de 20-jarige Luikenaar door de Nederlander Igor Sijsling (ATP-170) met 3-6, 6-1 en 6-3 te verslaan.
Voor een plaats op de hoofdtabel moet Goffin nog voorbij het Braziliaanse eerste reekshoofd Joao Souza (ATP-90).
