Dick Norman (foto) is er woensdag op de US Open in New York niet in geslaagd zich te plaatsen voor de tweede ronde van het dubbelspel. Samen met de Duitser Alexander Waske moest de 41-jarige West-Vlaming in precies 2 uur met 6-3, 3-6 en 7-6 (7/5) nipt de duimen leggen voor de Tsjech Frantisek Cermak en de Slovaak Michal Mertinak.
