De 32-jarige Djibril Cissé, die zijn contract bij het Russische Kuban Krasnodar liet ontbinden, zet zijn carrière voort bij Bastia. Dat meldde de Corsicaanse club, 13de in de Ligue 1, dinsdag op zijn website.
De Franse spits, die een ploegmaat wordt van Gianni Bruno, zal zijn handtekening onder een contract van 18 maanden zetten, aldus de eersteklasser.
Cissé, 41-voudig international (9 goals), speelde sinds juli 2013 voor Krasnodar. Hij begon zijn carrière in 1998 bij Auxerre. Daarna speelde hij voor Liverpool, Marseille, Sunderland, Panathinaikos, Lazio Rome, QPR en Al-Gharafa.
