AA Gent heeft zich versterkt met Matz Sels. De 21-jarige doelman tekende bij de Buffalo's een contract voor vier jaar, zo meldt de club vrijdag.
Sels komt over van Lierse, waar hij vorig seizoen eerste doelman was maar uit de gratie viel nadat hij weigerde zijn aflopende contract te verlengen. Bij Gent wordt Sels de doublure van de Nederlander Sergio Padt. Huidig invallerskeeper Frank Boeckx mag weg.
