Ondanks het feit dat de kwalificatie voor het EK in Polen enOekraïne al binnen is, wil de Duitse bondscoach Joachim Löw ook zijn laatste twee voorrondewedstrijden winnen.
Löw zal dan ook zijn beste team opstellen voor de uitmatch tegen Turkije (7 oktober) en het slotduel thuis tegen België (11 oktober), zo zei hij vrijdag bij de bekendmaking van de selectie.
"We willen onze kwalificatiecampagne afsluiten met tien zeges uit tien wedstrijden", sprak de bondscoach duidelijke taal. In 1982 bleef de Mannschaft ook al eens foutloos, toen won Duitsland al zijn acht wedstrijden in de voorronde voor het wereldkampioenschap.
