Bij grenscontroles naar aanleiding van de EK-kwalificatiewedstrijd van vrijdagavond in Brussel tussen België en Duitsland heeft de Duitse politie 42 mogelijk gewelddadige fans tegengehouden.
Aan de grenzen met België en Nederland en in treinstations werden alles samen een duizendtal fans gecontroleerd, meldde een woordvoerder. De politie nam daarbij baseballbats, vuurwerk en bengaals vuur in beslag.
