Michiel Elijzen gooit het vanaf volgend jaar over een andere boeg. De 28-jarige Nederlander sluit zijn actieve wielercarrière bij Omega Pharma-Lotto af en gaat in het team aan de slag als sportdirecteur. Dat meldt de website van de Belgische wielerploeg.
Elijzen was 5 jaar profrenner. De voorbije jaren reed hij bij Lotto. In zijn loopbaan behaalde hij twee overwinningen.
