De Deen Brian Laudrup (41) kampt met kanker van het lymfestelsel. De voormalige international Laudrup (82 caps, 21 goals) maakte het nieuws dinsdag bekend op het tv-station TV3 waar hij als commentator werkt.
Laudrup, die met Denemarken Europees kampioen werd in 1992, speelde in zijn carrière voor Brondby, Bayer Uerdingen, Bayern München, Fiorentina, AC Milan, Glasgow Rangers en Chelsea.
