Roger Federer (ATP 3) heeft zich woensdag simpel geplaatst voor de derde ronde van Wimbledon. Het Zwitserse derde reekshoofd schakelde in Londen met 6-1, 6-3 en 6-2 de Italiaan Fabio Fognini (ATP 68) uit.
Federer treft in de derde ronde de Amerikaan Michael Russell (ATP 112) of het Franse 29ste reekshoofd Julien Benneteau (ATP 32).
