Fernando Meira weet waar hij volgend jaar voetbalt. De Portugese verdediger vertrekt na meer dan zes jaar bij VFB Stuttgart en zet vandaag zijn handtekening onder een contract bij het Turkse Galatasaray.
Meira was aanvoerder bij Stuttgart en leidde de club in 2007 naar de landstitel in Duitsland. Deze zomer was hij met Portugal actief op Euro 2008.
Stuttgart legde deze week de Nederlander Khalid Boulahrouz vast om het vertrek van Meira op te vangen. (RV)
