Kirsten Flipkens is niet goed begonnen aan haar halve finale op Wimbledon. In de eerste set kreeg ze een fikse bolwassing van de Française Marion Bartoli. Het werd 6-1.
De winnares van het duel komt in de finale uit tegen de winnares van de andere halve finale tussen Sabine Lisicki en Agnieszka Radwanska.
