Volgens enkele Britse kranten bereikten Fulham en Chelsea een akkoord over Romelu Lukaku. De spits zou voor één seizoen worden uitgeleend om ervaring op te doen bij The Cottagers.
Momenteel is Lukaku met Chelsea op stage in de Verenigde Staten. Daar scoorde hij in de eerste oefenmatch tegen Seattle Sounders twee keer. Zondag tegen PSG speelde hij opnieuw een uur, net als Eden Hazard. Kevin De Bruyne speelde de eerste helft. Bij Fulham zou Lukaku ploegmaat worden van landgenoot Moussa Dembélé.
