Eerder stond Hellebaut ook al onder contract bij Bloso. De Vlaamse sportadministratie blijft naar eigen zeggen geloven in de atlete en wil dan ook graag investeren in haar sportcarrière.
Op 16 februari, op haar verjaardag, kondigde Hellebaut haar comeback aan. De vrouw zei toen te willen deelnemen aan de Olympische Spelen van 2012 in Londen.
Eerst staat echter het EK in Barcelona op het programma. "Dat heeft prioriteit", klinkt het.
