Initia Hasselt heeft de beker van België handbal voor mannenploegen gewonnen. In de Eburons Dome versloeg Hasselt zondagmiddag United Tongeren na extra tijd met 22-23.
Hasselt had zaterdag in de halve finale Sporting Nelo geklopt met 39-32. Tongeren was met 26-24 te sterk voor Bocholt.
Voor Initia Hasselt is het de negende beker in de clubgeschiedenis.
