Het is de eerste finale van het jaar voor Jankovic. "Ik voel me goed. Ik had hier enkele lastige matchen, maar wist toch telkens te winnen. Hopelijk lukt het zondag, want de vorige toernooien waren voor mij niet veel soeps", besluit de Servische.
In de finale neemt ze het op tegen de Deense Caroline Wozniacki. Die versloeg haar boezemvriendin Agnieszka Radwanska in twee sets: 6-2 en 6-3. Dankzij die zege wordt Wozniacki tweede op de WTA-ranglijst.
