Julien Vermote (Omega Pharma-Quick.Step) heeft zondag de Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (2.1) gewonnen. De zege in de 185 kilometer lange slotrit tussen Nieuwpoort en Ichtegem ging naar de Fransman Arnaud Démare (FDJ), voor de Rus Alexander Porsev (Katusha) en de Nederlander Kenny van Hummel (Vacansoleil-DCM). Niko Eeckhout (An Post-Sean Kelly) werd knap vierde.
