In haar halve finale nam de Olympisch kampioene van 2004 de maat van de Israëlische Shahar Peer (WTA-20). Het werd 6-3 en 6-2 na een uur en een kwartier spelen.
In de finale wacht de winnares van het duel Samantha Stosur (WTA-10) - Anna Lapushchenkova (WTA-138).
Henin was in 2007 al eens de beste in Stuttgart.
