Ronny Schuermans is niet langer de doelman van tweedeklasser KVK Tienen. De 40-jarige keeper wordt gepromoveerd tot hoofdcoach. Schuermans volgt de ontslagen Valère Billen op bij de ploeg.
Schuermans staat al sinds 2004 in het doel bij Tienen. Een paar maanden geleden ging hij ook aan de slag als keeperstrainer en toen Valère Billen ontslagen werd, werd Schuermans aangesteld als interim-coach. Hij boekte meteen een overwinning tegen Tubeke (1-3) terwijl hij zelf in het doel stond.
