Kirsten Flipkens (WTA-114) heeft zich geplaatst voor de kwartfinales van het ITF-toernooi in het Spaanse Monzon.
De Molse nam in ronde twee de maat van de Kroatische Ana Vrljic (WTA-201). Het werd 7-5 en 6-4. In de kwartfinales wacht nu de Portugese Maria Koehler.
In haar eerste wedstrijd in Monzon had Flipper gewonnen van de Kroatische Ivana Lisjak (WTA-241): 6-4 en 6-1.
