KRC Genk is dichtbij de transfer van de gezochte diepe spits. Ilombe Mboyo (AA Gent) was gisteren in de Cristal Arena om te onderhandelen over een langdurig contract. Op clubniveau is er al een akkoord, de 26-jarige Mboyo zelf moet nog definitief toehappen.
Vanochtend kwam de spits al aan in Genk. Daar ondergaat hij momenteel medische tests.
De transfer zou met voorsprong de duurste zijn uit de geschiedenis van KRC Genk. AA Gent vroeg de voorbije weken aan andere geïnteresseerde clubs - Anderlecht op kop - meer dan 4 miljoen euro voor Mboyo.
