Niets staat een comeback van Danilo Di Luca nog in de weg. De UCI heeft het licht op groen gezet nadat hij zijn geldboete van 173.600 euro had betaald.
Di Luca werd in de Ronde van Italië van 2009 betrapt op het gebruik van doping.
De Italiaanse renner zal voor 11 februari wel nog 8.000 euro aan procedurekosten moeten dokken.
Omdat Di Luca goed meewerkte aan het onderzoek kreeg hij strafvermindering. The Killer wil dit jaar gratis uitkomen voor Katjoesja.
