Manchester City klopte zaterdag op de 27e speeldag in de Premier League het bescheiden Stoke City met 1-0. De Ivoriaan Yaya Touré scoorde het enige doelpunt van de partij. Vincent Kompany stond de hele wedstrijd tussen de lijnen en kreeg na een kwartier geel. City nadert (met een match minder) tot op 3 punten van leider Chelsea, dat eerder op de dag Everton versloeg met 1-0.
