De Nederlandse Marianne Vos heeft voor de zevende keer in haar carriere de wereldtitel veldrijden veroverd.
De 26-jarige wielrenster was enkele maten te groot voor de tegenstand. De Italiaanse Eva Lechner werd op ruime afstand tweede, Helen Wyman eindigde als derde. Onze landgenote Sanne Cant eindigde knap vierde.
