Na Li heeft zich als eerste geplaatst voor de vrouwenfinale van de Australian Open. De Chinese (WTA 11) redde in de tweede set van haar halve finale een matchbal tegen Caroline Wozniacki en versloeg het Deense nummer 1 van de wereld na 2 uur en 35 minuten met 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Het is nu wachten op de tweede finaliste. Dat wordt Kim Clijsters of Vera Zvonareva.
