De Chinese Na Li (WTA 7) heeft zich in Parijs makkelijk geplaatst voor de derde ronde van Roland Garros, het tweede grandslamtoernooi van het jaar. Titelverdedigster Na Li, het zevende reekshoofd op het Parijse gravel, rekende in de tweede ronde in twee korte sets af met de Française Stéphanie Foretz-Gacon (WTA 86). Het werd 6-0 en 6-2.
In de derde ronde wacht de winnares van het Amerikaanse onderonsje tussen Christina McHale (WTA 36) en Lauren Davis (WTA 162).
