Niels Albert heeft maandagavond de Superprestigecross in Diegem gewonnen. Het was een duel op het scherp van de snee, maar de 24-jarige Vlaams-Brabander van BKCP-Powerplus kwam solo over de finish.
Een schakelfout deed Sven Nys de das om. Hij bleef nog wel de Tsjechische wereldkampioen Zdenek Stybar voor. Rob Peeters werd vierde en Bart Wellens finishte als vijfde.
Nys blijft na zes manches leider in de tussenstand van de Superprestige.
