Bolshakova landde op 14,53 meter. Daarmee verbetert ze haar eigen record van een jaar geleden met 26 centimeter. De atlete kon wel rekenen op de wind, die met 1,9 m/s binnen de toegelaten limiet bleef.
Het is al de derde keer dat onze landgenote van Russische afkomst een nieuw record springt.
