Na Usain Bolt in Kingston en Yohan Blake op de Kaaimaneilanden toont ook Justin Gatlin dat hij klaar is om te schitteren op de Olympische Spelen. Woensdag won de Amerikaanse spurter in het Zuid-Koreaanse Daegu de 100 meter in 9.93. Vorige week ging de ex-dopingzondaar ook winnen in het Qatarese Doha (9.87).
Daarmee blijft Gatlin wel duidelijk boven de tijden van Bolt (9.82) en Blake (9.84).
