John Burman was zijn hele leven supporter van de Britse derdeklasser Leyton Orient FC. Toen vorig jaar bij hem kanker werd vastgesteld, liet de fanatieke fan in zijn testament opnemen dat 150.000 pond (180.000 euro) naar 'The O's' gaat.
Burman, die 55 werd, steunde zijn club 30 jaar lang bij bijna alle thuis- én uitwedstrijden. Leyton Orient FC, dat uitkomt op het derde niveau in Engeland, zal de komende thuiswedstrijd tegen Peterborough aan hem opdragen.
