Heuglijk nieuws voor Philippe Gilbert en zijn echtgenote Patricia Zeevaert. Ze zijn in blijde verwachting van hun tweede kindje. In juni 2013 krijgt Alan er een klein broertje bij.
Gilbert trouwde in augustus 2010 met zijn jeugdvriendin Patricia. Zij was toen al zwanger van hun eerste kindje. Alan werd in oktober 2010 geboren.
