Een ploegmaat van Lance Armstrong werd op 23 maart, na afloop van Dwars Door Vlaanderen, betrapt op het gebruik van doping. Het nieuws werd eerder al bekend gemaakt, waarop Li een tegenexpertise aanvroeg.
Die tegenexpertise bevestigt de positieve plas. Zowel in het A- als B-staal van Li Fuyu werden volgens de China Daily sporen van clenbuterol teruggevonden.
RadioShack heeft de 32-jarige Chinees voorlopig geschorst.
