Sidney Govou gaat aan de slag bij het bescheiden Evian. De 32-jarige aanvaller zette bij de kersverse Franse eersteklasser zijn kribbel onder een contract voor twee seizoenen.
Govou verlaat het Griekse Panathinaikos transfervrij. Zijn contract bij die topclub werd in onderling overleg ontboden. Zijn salaris woog naar verluidt te zwaar door.
De Franse international speelde in de Ligue 1 eerder al voor Olympique Lyon (van 1999 tot 2010).
