Na de reguliere speeltijd stond het nog 0-0. In de verlengingen deed Hoarau de Parijzenaars juichen. Hij scoorde in de eerste minuut van de blessuretijd van de eerste verlenging.
Voor PSG is het al de achtste 'Coupe de France' uit de clubgeschiedenis. Dankzij de trofee mag de club volgend jaar aantreden in de Europa League.
