De Kazachse renner Valentin Iglinskiy (Astana) is deze week door de Franse politie tegengehouden toen hij op een snelweg nabij Nice 100 kilometer per uur te snel reed.
Na een blaastest bleek niet alleen dat Iglinskiy te veel had gedronken, volgens de Franse media zou hij ook cocaïne hebben gebruikt.
Astana heeft de geruchten al ontkend. Valentin Iglinskiy reed in tegenstelling tot zijn broer Maxim niet mee in de Tour.
