Afgelopen zondag is Sabrina Struyf (22) uit Kapellen, maar wonende te Heusden-Zolder, Belgisch kampioene handboogschieten geworden in de Olympische klasse (recurve) bij de dames.
De wedstrijd vond plaats aan Het Steen in Antwerpen waar alle finales geschoten werden op een afstand van 70 meter (de kwalificaties werden op Linkeroever gehouden). Struyf plaatste zich voor de finale ten koste van Eline Deckers.
In de finale versloeg Struyf Tamara Geeraerts met 6-4. Struyf volgt zichzelf op als Belgisch kampioene, in 2010 won ze ook al goud op de World Cup.
