De aanloop naar het cruciale barragematch tussen Burkina Faso en Algerije is dinsdag niet zonder problemen verlopen. Het stadion zat al bomvol omstreeks 13u Belgische tijd, zes uur voor de aftrap.
Een veertigtal supporters van de Algerijnse nationale voetbalploeg zijn gewond geraakt. De fans liepen verwondingen op in het gewoel aan de ingang van het Mustapha Tchaker-stadion in Blida, waar om 19u15 Belgische tijd de terugmatch tegen het Burkina Faso van Paul Put zal plaatsvinden.
