De Belgische tennisspeler Steve Darcis (ATP 102) is doorgestoten naar de tweede ronde van het Challengertoernooi op gravel in San Marino. Darcis versloeg de Duitser Mischa Zverev (ATP 117) in twee sets met 7-6 (7/3) en 6-1.
In de tweede ronde komt Darcis tegen de Tsjech Jan Hajek (ATP 158) te staan.
