Steve Darcis (ATP-98) werd vannacht in Melbourne uitgeschakeld in de eerste ronde van het Australian Open.
De 28-jarige Luikenaar bleek niet opgewassen tegen het Duitse zeventiende reekshoofd Philipp Kohlschreiber (ATP-19). Het werd 6-2, 6-3 en 6-4 in 1 uur en 46 minuten.
